Loofah Pad for Solid Cosmetics 🌿

Why should solid cosmetics be allowed to dry?

When exposed to water, solid shampoo, conditioner and soap gradually soften. If a product is left in a damp dish or a puddle of water, its underside may become soggy, stick to the surface and wear down faster.

A loofah pad helps lift the product off the damp surface, drain excess water and improve air circulation. The more thoroughly solid cosmetics dry, the more economically you can use them.

What is loofah?

Loofah is a plant in the gourd family. When the fruit is fully ripe, a strong, fibrous network forms inside it. The fruit is dried, its skin and seeds are removed, and the cleaned fibre is used to make natural sponges and pads.

A loofah sponge is not a sea sponge—it is made entirely from plant-based material. As it is a natural product, each pad may vary slightly in shape, colour, fibre density and surface texture.

Convenient for travel too

The loofah pad is lightweight and takes up very little space. You can take it with you when travelling, to the gym, swimming pool or sauna.

Before placing solid cosmetics in a closed travel case, allow both the product and the loofah pad to dry completely. A damp product should not be stored in a closed case for an extended period.

How to use

1. Place the loofah pad in a dry, well-ventilated area.

2. After use, rinse off any excess lather from the product.

3. Place the solid shampoo, conditioner or soap on the pad.

4. Allow the product and loofah sponge to dry completely.

5. Rinse and dry the pad itself regularly.

Care

Rinse the loofah pad regularly under running water. After rinsing, gently squeeze out excess water without twisting or tearing the fibres.

From time to time, you can wash the pad in warm, soapy water, then rinse it thoroughly and let it dry completely. Hand-washing is the gentlest way to care for it.

Important to know

Do not leave the loofah sponge in water or on a constantly damp surface for extended periods. If it does not dry out, product residue may build up, unpleasant odours may develop or mould may form.

We recommend replacing the pad if it starts to crumble, loses its shape, no longer dries completely, develops a persistent unpleasant odour or shows signs of mould.
